Groundbreaking ceremony for the BOSCO production complex in Kaluga

04.10.2018  - The ceremony dedicated to the start of the construction of the Bosco Manufactory complex took place in Kaluga on September 14th.

A special capsule with the T-shirt released in the demonstration workshop with wishes to the future generations was laid in the foundation of the future complex.

Drees & Sommer has been involved in the project since June 2017 and supported the Client as the  General Designer and as an expert of tender management services in selection of the General Contractor for the project implementation. Drees & Sommer has been executing project management, construction control on site and the client's representative (Technical Client) services.

Opening of the new production complex of the Bosco group of companies is scheduled for May 2019. The total area of the complex is 16 000 m2. The total production capacity is about 2,000,000 knitwear and 128,000 outerwear garments of high quality per year. The main assortment of the factory will be knitwear and down jackets. The production complex is provided with the opportunity to develop and produce equipment for sports teams, personnel and volunteers of major competitions and championships at the highest world standards.

The Bosco group of companies is aimed at development of production base in Russia, moving the light industry production from abroad, where luxury brands traditionally sew their products, to Russia, thus entering the international market. The new factory will help to localize two-thirds of the company’s production in Russia and will employ about 900 people.

As stated by Mikhail Kusnirovich, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bosco di Ciliegi Group of Companies: “The complex will be the flagship of the light industry. It will be the largest one not only in the Central Federal District, but probably, in the Russian Federation as well. It is the most modern, high-tech, automated”. The high level of technology and quality will be applied to the building itself, the equipment to be installed, and the qualifications of the staff.
